Why Should We NOT Pessimistic?

Here is a short story (i don’t know whether it’s real life story or not, but I found it very interesting. Source : Era Baru FM 106.50)Here the story goes :
In a beautiful city live a lovely but pessimist girl. She works as a secretary in a software house. She enjoy her works and love it very much until one day.
One day, she forgot to prepare an important document for her boss. Yet, she didn’t want to admit her fault and told her boss that was he did not ask her to prepare it. And they had a quarrel. Actually the boss didn’t take it to heart as she did.
A couple of days later, she recieved a phone call from a woman seeking for job. Here their conversation goes :
Pessimist Girl : Helo, what can I help you?
Woman : Yes, thank you. I saw it on newspaper that your company is looking for a secretary right? I’ve send the application letter. Can I have the interview today?
Pessimist Girl : Well, let me see.
(the pessimist girl was actually thinking, after a while she said..)
Pessimist Girl : You there?
Woman : Yes, I am.
Pessimist Girl : Well, you can have your interview tommorow. Come here at 8:00 a.m. Be sure to come on time.
Woman : Not a problem at all. Thank you so much. Have a nice day.
Pessimist Girl : You are welcome.
The pessimist girl thought for a while. And decided to quit her job before her boss sacked her. Then she wrote a resignment letter and put it on her boss table. Her boss didn’t see her letter until tommorow morning.
The next morning, when her boss came. He saw the resignment letter. He was confused and didn’t know why she resigned. Actually she was doing well in the past.
A moment later, the woman who called yesterday came. And told the boss that actually she called to a wrong number. And yet she was asked to have an interview. What a coincidence. And boss thought for a while and decided to accept her application. And now she become the boss new secretary.
Actually her bos didn’t intend to sack her. The girl lose her job because her pessimistic way of thingking.
