Proxy is very important at internet world. Without proxy, we can’t connect to internet. Many kind of proxy. They are proxy server, hostile proxy, intercepting proxy server, intercepting proxy server, transparent proxy server, non-transparent proxy server, and forced proxy. And then where is the best and should we use? The answer is relative. Each proxy have weakness and advantages. Just select the one that suitable by our necessary. Proxy server is a server computer or software of computer which services the request the content from internet or intranet. Proxy server such as gateway of internet for each computer client. Proxy server is invisible, so computer client can’t see it. Web server which accept request from computer server will interpretation the requests, so the request is look like from the computer client, not from proxy server.
Proxy server is often used at school and office. This is very suitable there because it provides administrative control over the content that may be relayed through the proxy. It will ensure that Internet usage conforms to acceptable use policy. But, proxy server still have some weakness. Its may be used for abuse, so to solve this problem system administrators have developed a number of ways to refuse service to open proxies.
Usually, at office or university, an email server may be configured to automatically test e-mail senders for open proxies. For example, each student at that university have an email account from the university.
