- Select your device name from the left hand side option in iTunes. You will easily be able to find out your device name there.
- In Summary tab, which opens on the right side of the iTunes, tap on the “Encrypt iPhone backup” option under the “options” tab.
- Once you click on the encrypt option. You will be asked to enter password. You can choose the password that you remember, but should be secure enough that no one other than can guess it.
