The Wi-Fi app of iPhone is a complete neat and useful application which is used for Jailbroken iPhone. However, iTunes starts creating trouble while using Wi-Fi sync app and in other operations such as backing up data, restoring the data, and upgrading the version. There are several aspects of this problems, as of now it seems that installing Wi-Fi apps is the culprit of this unresponsive iTunes.

Reboot the Mac
