Open Favorite URL In New Tab In Internet Explorer 7 or 8 (IE7) Browser

Internet Explorer web browser is undoubtedly the highest used browsers by a lot of users from around the world. Internet Explorer IE 7 and IE 8 web browsers have many new great features that provide us with a lot of convenience, security and speed.

‘Favorites’ as we all know are the places on the browsers, from where we can save or bookmark the website links for quick future references. In these IE web browsers, you will get to see a prominent Favorites folder and pull down menu tab on the top part of the browser window.

One of the best features of IE 7 and IE 8 is that you can open the Favorites links on the new tabs.

On the left hand side of the browser tabs, and you will find a button called ‘Favorites‘. You can see a star icon in front of the name. While clicking on this button, you can see all your favorites and folders. On the right side of the Favorites links out here, you can see the blue arrow pointing towards the right.

Just by clicking on that blue arrow you can open that particular Favorites URL on a new tab. This particular tip could come handy even to the Firefox users. What it does is opens that Favorites and URL in a new tab, instead of replacing the existing website on that tab.

On the other hand, you can execute the same function by just right clicking on the link in Favorites folder. Then you will need to select the option “Open in New Tab” from context menu.
