How To Remove Thumbs.db Permanently?
Removing or deleting Thumbs.db
Sometimes it gets annoying to delete thumbs.db from every folder every time. Thumbs.db is not a virus rather it is system file. This file is generated by the machine mostly with Microsoft XP system. This file helps to access folder faster as it cache folder contains. No doubts that it works in a positive way, but because it gets annoying some people would prefer to delete the appearance of those files permanently. Let us find out how to do it.
Follow the steps mentioned below to delete thumbs.db permanently:
- Click on start and then go to control panel and then click on Folder option.
- Navigate to view tab and you will find an option called Do not cache thumbnails, check that box.
- Your work is done.
Once it is done, you will never see thumbs.db again in your folder, but from now on it will take some time to open a folder with huge photo or files collection.
