Brilliant Keyboard Shortcut Key Tips For Document Editing In Microsoft Word

Microsoft word is the most commonly used application at a number of workplaces. Many of us have to deal with it on a daily basis. Especially, if you happen to be an editor or a writer, you will have a tough time moving a piece of information or a paragraph around the write-up. You can however make your job easy by learning a few shortcut key solutions.

The tips mentioned below can be pretty beneficial in saving time and efforts while performing some value added tasks. Just follow these two easy keyboard shortcut key tips and see the difference while working with Microsoft word.

Firstly, learn how you can move an entire paragraph anywhere around the article. You may move the paragraph up/down within the write-up. Place your cursor anywhere on the paragraph that you would like to move (the whole paragraph need not be highlighted). Now press Shift+Alt+Up/Down key and hold it to move the paragraph to the preferred location.

This is the most hassle free technique by which you can shift a paragraph anywhere in your write-up. If you are working with tables, you may use the same method to move any row up/down in the table.

Secondly, at times you might need to copy some text from another source to include it in the contents of your article. You must have often noticed that when you try to copy contents from other sources, either they don’t fit well or you need to do some editing like removal of special characters at the start of each line.

You can make use of this second shortcut key tip to select partial text vertically. You just need to press and hold Alt key as you vertically select the text that you would like to copy, cut or delete.

A number of such shortcut keys in MS word are yet to be explored which can make document editing a pleasant experience.
