- Initially download Google chrome setup from the official website of Google chrome. It will start installation process automatically, and so we would not get set up file back. Just put the keyword “Google Chrome + Softpedia” or go here, and you will be redirected to setup files download option to get individual files directly.
- By right clicking on chrome setup file select the extract option using file compression tool such as Winrar.
- Once you open the extracted folder, you will get another rar file named, Chrome.rar. Now extract this file too. Now open chrome folder which you have extracted in order to see chrome bin folder.
- Open chrome bin folder and copy all files form the folder.
- Now go to portable chrome version folder, “GoogleChromePortableDevAppChrome-bin”. You just need to find “Chrome-bin” folder inside portable chrome directory.
- Replace the existing files by pasting the previously copied files.
- Now launch your portable Google chrome version and you will get updated browser.
