Downgrade HP Compaq v3000 Vista to XP [Driver Problem]

If you’re like another people who think vista sucks big time. And you decided to downgrade your HP v3000 OS to Windows XP then you will get some problem. itgossips write the previous Dell XP installation problem, and now will go through HP Compaq v3000.
So, how we fix this? we need SoftPaq.EXE and install it, and then connexant audio driver. Detail follows:
1. Download the SoftPaq .EXE to your computer
2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.
3. Restart the notebook when the installation is complete.
4. After restarting, you need to download conexant HD Audio driver.
5. Execute and install conexant High Definition Audio driver, it will contain error but continue.
6. Click on Start and select Run. Now type devmgmt.msc and press enter.
7. Right click on “Audio device on High Definition Audio Bus” and click Update driver.
8. Select “Install from a list or specific location”
9. Click Next. Then select “Don’t search, I will choose the driver to install”
10. Click Next and then select “Sound, video and game controller” from the list.
11. Click Next and then click Have Disk.
12. Click Browse C:\swsetup\sp36408 folder and Select the .inf file, click open and Continue with the onscreen instructions.
13. Audio driver is completed an now we begin the video one: NVIDIA GeForce 7150
14. Install it.
That should fix problem. You now have your laptop with XP OS. No more “Allow or Not” sounds. But I have no guarantee to you. It depends on your configuration.
